Picked up a Toyota Fortuner at Cairo Airport and drove straight to Siwa Oasis - about 750 km through the Western Desert. The vehicle handled gravel sections past Marsa Matrouh without any trouble. Fuel planning was straightforward with stations in Matrouh and one halfway mark. Written permission for the western route was included in the voucher. Returned the car in Cairo five days later with no complications. Clear instructions made the whole process simple.
We needed a seven-seater for a family trip from Hurghada to Luxor and back. The Hyundai H-1 had enough space for four adults, two children and all our luggage. The 280 km drive each way was comfortable, air conditioning worked perfectly in July heat. Pickup at the airport was quick, the rental company staff walked us through the vehicle condition report and we were on the road within twenty minutes. Fuel consumption was reasonable for a vehicle that size.
Rented a Mitsubishi Pajero for a ten-day loop starting in Cairo. Drove south to Luxor, then Aswan, across to Abu Simbel, back via Kharga Oasis and the Nile Valley. The four-wheel-drive capability proved useful on unpaved stretches near Kharga. Online booking advance was straightforward, remainder paid in cash at pickup. Collected a Nissan Sunny in central Cairo for a week of city errands and a day trip to Alexandria. The compact sedan was perfect for navigating narrow streets and parking. Cairo traffic was heavier than expected at pickup time, so allow extra margin if you have a tight schedule. Vehicle was clean, fuel-efficient and easy to drive. Drop-off at the same location was smooth. Overall a solid experience, just factor in rush-hour delays when planning your pickup.
Booked a Kia Sportage for a Marsa Alam to Aswan drive, about 380 km through stunning desert scenery. The route follows the Red Sea for a while then cuts inland. Vehicle handled the mix of paved highway and occasional rough patches with ease. We added a child seat as an extra service, which was fitted and ready at pickup. No issues with fuel availability - stations in Marsa Alam, Edfu and Aswan covered the journey. Would definitely use 4Drive again.
Hired a Toyota Corolla in Luxor for three days. Used it to visit Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, and took a longer drive to Dendera Temple about 60 km north. The sedan was comfortable and economical. Booking process was clear, voucher arrived by email with all the details I needed. Paid the booking advance online, settled the rest with a debit card at the rental desk. Staff explained the damage waiver and liability limits clearly. Returned the car on time with no surprises.

The sedan was reliable, modern and well-maintained. The 4Drive website showed exactly which payment methods were accepted for our chosen vehicle, so there were no surprises at the counter.
