Who We Are

4Drive Egypt is a booking platform that links you directly with local operators in Cairo, Hurghada, Luxor, Marsa Alam and Aswan. We process your reservation online, then pass it to a partner company in the city you select. That company handles the handover, keys, paperwork and return inspection. You sign the rental agreement at their desk, not with us.

We focus on transparent terms and straightforward booking steps. Every vehicle listing shows the advance you pay online, the balance due on collection, and which payment methods the operator accepts for that specific vehicle. No surprises when you arrive.

How 4Drive Works

The process is split into four stages:

• Search and compare. Enter your pick-up city, dates and any filters - sedan, SUV, 4x4, automatic or manual. Browse the results and read each vehicle's payment terms.
• Pay the booking advance. Reserve online with a card payment. This advance is part of the total cost, not a separate fee. You will receive an automated confirmation by email.
• Receive your voucher. The voucher arrives in your inbox shortly after payment. It lists the local operator's name, contact details, pick-up address and the balance still owed.
• Collect the vehicle. Present your voucher, driving licence and International Driving Permit at the operator's desk. Settle the remaining balance - cash or card, depending on what the operator accepts for that vehicle - then complete the walk-around inspection and sign the rental agreement.

The contract you sign is with the local company, so damage liability, fuel policy and any additional charges are governed by their terms. The voucher reminds you to photograph the vehicle before you drive away.

Where We Operate

We work with operators in five cities. Cairo serves arrivals at CAI and those exploring the capital or heading west into the desert. Hurghada and Marsa Alam cover the Red Sea coast and routes inland to the Nile Valley. Luxor sits halfway between Cairo and Aswan, a convenient base for temple loops. Aswan is the southern anchor, close to Abu Simbel and the Nubian lakes.

Pick-up locations vary by operator: some maintain desks inside airport terminals, others meet you outside the arrivals hall, and a few offer hotel delivery in resort areas. The exact meeting point appears in your voucher once the reservation is confirmed.

Why No Deposit

Many of our partner operators do not block funds on your card at pick-up. Instead they record the vehicle condition in the rental agreement and rely on the signed inspection sheet if a dispute arises. The excess - the maximum you would pay for damage - is still stated in the contract, but no hold is placed in advance.

This approach means you keep your card limit free for accommodation, fuel and other travel expenses. It does not change the insurance structure or remove the excess; it simply removes the temporary block. If you prefer an operator that does take a hold, filter by payment requirements during your search.
